Caught in the traffic maze? Mapunity is here to help you out!

How often you get caught in your city traffic? How often you look out for route instructions when you had to reach XYZ place in your city? How often your adrenalin pumps high when you hear about the raising fuel prices and inflation? These are all the common experiences that people go through. We all wish there is some solution for our woes but can't find one.. Wait a minute.. MapUnity says that it has taken oath to end all our woes and provide us a practical solution which really works! I was sceptical about this just like you until I took a peek into their FREE Services. You can get the route instructions from their websites by giving the starting point and destination in your city. You will see the map with the desired route highlighted with intermediate land marks given with details (along with the distance in KM). If you wish you could check out LIVE TRAFFIC in that route with a click of a mouse... what more, you can even look for car pooling.. What does it mean? You can look for people travelling in the same route and share a CAR! That way, you can save fuel and contribute to the good cause called 'SAVE MOTHER EARTH!'.

As you could imagine with this image, you can even get all these services by just sending a single SMS. Of course, this service is available only for Airtel users now, but could be extended soon to all other networks. I was aware that live traffic information can be obtained through GPS and this type of systems are in use in countries like America. But thinking of such a system in India? Is this true? Well, this is true.. If you still don't believe, take a look at MapUnity Websites.. It has started this service in 5 Cities and is adding more cities rapidly. Bangalore users can access their services through the site http://www.btis.in/. Hyderabad users can use the site http://www.htis.in/. Chennai users can browse through http://www.chennaitraffic.in/. Delhi and Pune users can access the sites http://www.dtis.in/ and http://www.ptis.in/ respectively.

Not just the Live Traffic, Route Help and Car Pooling, these sites have lots of other features as well. You could get information about local shops, about bus stops and bus routes, safety information and signals, etc. Offering these for free really deserves a pat on the back of MapUnity. Great job done! Lets all spread this news and help MapUnity fulfill its oath.

Regards,
Srinivas
